The audience is invited to explore Beethoven’s rich and tumultuous inner world through the sounds of the piano. This concert features a joint performance by Daniel Røm, Professor of Piano at the University of Stavanger in Norway, and Tan Xiaotang, Professor and PhD supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music. As Eastern and Western interpretative philosophies collide and blend, the flowing piano melodies unlock the philosophical and poetic depths embedded within the works, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the immortal symphony of Beethoven’s life.
